Cleanroom Fan Filter Unit
The Fan Filter Unit (FFU) is primarily composed of a small fan, a controller, and a HEPA or ULPA high-efficiency filter. Typically installed in the ceiling of clean rooms, this device effectively purifies air to maintain the cleanliness of the indoor environment. FFUs are designed to fit common clean room ceiling grids (e.g., 4ft x 2ft or 4ft x 4ft) and are generally set up in two main types of clean rooms: laminar flow (for Class 1000 and below) and turbulent flow (for Class 1000 and above). They provide the necessary air circulation and filtration for clean rooms and equipment.
FFUs are widely applied in various industries including semiconductor, electronics, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, bio-engineering, medical, food, and laboratories. They are used in newly constructed clean room facilities, manufacturing processes, and production lines, providing clean air for clean rooms of different cleanliness levels. Their versatility makes them essential components in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness required in these critical environments.
